About

Satya Larrea, C-IAYT, CEDRC, former owner of Whole Yoga Studio 2004-2023.

I've practiced yoga since 1993 and underwent rigorous training to teach yoga, starting in 1997. My primary training was during a 6 year residency at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat, an ashram and renowned yoga and meditation retreat center in Rollinsville, CO.  I have certifications from Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Mindfulness Based Eating, EDIT certified(Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy Coach)

Currently, I teach mindful movement - Yoga, Qigong, and Mindfulness at the Eating Recovery Center/Mood and Anxiety Center in Denver, CO.

I think of "slow movement arts"  to mean, qigong, tai chi, restorative yoga,  somatic movement, etc. I find that the slow movement arts assist people in becoming more present and especially for those who struggle with sitting in meditation. The slow movement arts are healing for both mind and body and the connection between the two.
